More great trout fishing. One of my favorite lakes for trout fishing is Lake Almanor, in Northern California. What's yours? In addition to great fishing, it was also exciting watching Osprey and Bald Eagles. This video was shot Fourth of July weekend with a GoPro Hero. We were trolling and drifting bait. The fish were scattered all over the lake due to the unusually high and cold water this year, but we fished many hours and in many different areas, and we got pretty lucky. I lost the biggest fish of the trip when I turned my attention from the fish to the net, just for a second, and the line got caught on the kicker motor. It was a beautiful, brightly colored brown that was easily 5 pounds. I'm still pretty upset about losing that fish. I have the whole thing on video, but I don't have the heart to watch it again, let alone post it. It was actually on Evan's rod, but when the fish bit, he told me to take it because he was preoccupied removing a hook from his thumb.

Peter catches a very nice Mahi Mahi fishing out of Jaco, Costa Rica. Filmed by Lee. I could of been on this trip, but I missed out because I'm a dumb-ass. They also caught a couple beautiful sailfish. See the Sailfish video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_9lj1pOAzA

Crab fishing near the Golden Gate Bridge. We launched out of Clipper Harbor in Sausalito and traveled under the Golden Gate Bridge to harvest our share of this year's bumper crop of Dungeness crab. The sea was as calm as a lake. If you are going out the gate make sure you do your homework, it is a potentially dangerous area. Small boats may not be able to get back into the bay when the tide is ripping. Know where the deep water channel is and stay far away from the huge ships that use it (they are going way faster than they look). Of course, always wear your life jacket. Created with iLife and Garage Band.

An epic day of fishing out of Homer, Alaska with Captain Mike Alred of Bob's Trophy Charters. I release a 130-140 pound halibut and Lee's Lingcod must be about 60 pounds.
